Our Judgements

Those trendy jeans with adorned holes?
Or torn rags that embellish the kitchen chores?

That arrogant corn which reluctantly pops?
Or the heroic efforts that shot him to the top?

Those orotund adjectives which nobody reads?
Or the bland creation without those beads?

That ugly stare from the adjacent creep?
Or an unspoken desire of a weird sheep?

Those revengeful eyes that refuse to close?
Or the pangs of grief that withered up the rose?

That lady who lost her honor in yet another heinous act?
Or another gimmick with a calculated tact?

Judgement, eh?
Judgement is the need!
No one’s certain
Which way it should be.

‘Cause the light
It mostly accentuates one way.
While the other one
Like a mean shadow,
Thinks of itself as a
Self righteous day.

Brotherhood Of The World Blogger Award

Thanks a ton Prakash Sir for nominating me for the Brotherhood Of The World Blogger Award  which is the second time I’ve been nominated. It’s an honor to have been nominated by you. Do check out his blog for some genuinely creative stuff. Sir, I hope I give the suitable answers. 🙂

1. Which one suits you best – yo or yo yo?

Ans – I’m not a hip-hop person so yo or yo yo is something I can’t select from. But, choosing yo-yo would be great because I’ve seen people doing tricks on the yo-yo. Haha!! 😀

2. Are you a yay or a whatever person?

Ans – Depending on the situation, mood and the level of excitement, I can be both.

3. What is your idea of a flop movie?

Ans – A movie filled only with masala, item songs, no story and cheap humor should always be a flop (which is not the case, sadly). Overall, I guess a movie should be thought provoking for it to be a hit.

4. Bike or car?

Ans – When I’m driving – bike. When someone else is driving – car.

5. Sunny evening, five best friends and what?

Ans – And roaming around here and there reminiscing about the old days and playing pranks, maybe.

6. “Game of Thrones”. Yes or No?

Ans – Definitely yes. No reason to go for a ‘no’.

7. You and your only best friend. Walk or movie or other?

Ans – Me and my only best friend – choose a good location, bring some stuff and start chatting.

8. Chess or carrom?

Ans – Chess.

9. How good chef are you?

Ans – The only thing I knew how to cook has recently been banned by the government (if you know what I mean). So, I learned how to cook an omlette and that’s the only cooking I know. So, I guess it makes me a wonderful chef. Hehe!! 🙂 😛 😀

10. Short and crisp or long and descriptive?

Ans – Short and crisp because it maintains the thrill and can never be boring.

So, these were my answers. I guess you enjoyed the post. Feel free to comment. Those who’d like to answer these questions, consider yourself nominated.

Brotherhood of the World

Thanks a lot Ameena for nominating me for the brotherhood of the world bloggers award, which, I accept gladly. It’s the first time I have been nominated for an award and it feels good. To tell the truth though, I tend to give pretty boring answers to open ended questions. Nevertheless, I’ll give it a shot. So, here are my answers:-

1. What is your favorite book?
Naming one book is quite tough. So, I’ll name three 😛
(i) The Godfather by Mario Puzo
(ii) To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
(iii)Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen

2. Why do you blog?
Why do I blog? Well! I have always been a guy who hesitates a lot when sharing what he writes. So, I seldom showed my poems to anyone. One day, while surfing the net, I came across a wordpress blog and I really liked the community and the whole concept of blogging. And, I started this page. So, in a nutshell, I blog because people give honest replies, they don’t judge you unnecessarily & I really love my community. 🙂

3. Define love according to you?
A tough question! Love, according to me, is a feeling which makes us care about someone unconditionally.

4. If you had to choose one – fiction, non-fiction, poetry, which would you choose and why?
I’d definitely choose poetry because poetry, (as Meena Ma’am once wrote), is nothing but emotions packed in verses. A world of emotions can be painted in just a few lines. Poems can just take you to a different place in a moment. They captivate you. And, I think that’s the beauty of poetry.

5. Characteristic of your ideal woman?
Seriously, I have never thought of that. All I can say is that when I think of an ideal woman, I think of an angel. So, I guess, an ideal woman would be an angel (in disguise, maybe! 😛 )

6. Life is – a roller coaster, mountain climb, landslide, other?
I’ll go with roller coaster because, the beauty of roller coaster rides is that there is constant thrill and you never know which turn the carriage (or whatever it is called) will take next & the same applies to life. Plus, after the ride, we all leave happily. And, I guess same happens with life. In the end, we all leave contended.

7. Favorite author?
Again, naming one would be difficult. So, my favorite authors are:-
(i) Mario Puzo.
(ii) Agatha Christie.
(iii)Munshi Premchand.
(iv) Jane Austen.

8. What legacy would you like to leave?
Again, never thought of that. But, I guess I won’t leave anyone despising or hating me. 🙂

And, thanks a lot again for nominating me, Ameena . Answering the questions was fun & challenging and I loved the questions.
