Where Is My Pen?

quote-the-more-we-understand-what-is-happening-in-the-world-the-more-frustrated-we-often-become-c-wright-mills-82-55-09

A 7 year old raped brutally.
The students beaten mercilessly.
Crores laundered in the scam.
And democracy is now a sham!

Religion, a reverent affair.
Is now a sacred weapon.
Regularly fired in the air,
Its bullets, claiming tons.

And naivety is not more than a facade.
With everyone playing equal parts.
‘Cause the decent naives,
Are meditating in their graves.

The leaves are withering.
And the birds have flown.
But things are burgeoning.
As our society has “positively grown”.

I’ll write an honest account,
Of things that always haunt.
But where is my pen?
Oh! I forgot!
It belongs to “them”.

  1. Vipul, you paint a very true picture of what’s going on in this world, awesome poetry you write πŸ™‚ There is a saying, though, “When writing the story of your life, don’t let anyone else hold the pen” πŸ˜‰ I hope you find your pen again πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks again! I don’t seem to thank you enough.
And yes, what you said is true. But that’s what is missing because of the so called constraints. I hope we all find our respective pens because hey! words really are mightier than a sword. πŸ™‚
